The first selection of DAPS materials was published on September 4, 2007[2]. Written By writers/designers Carlo Montagnino and Christopher Olivieri, the section consisted of mainly offbeat comedy. Inside every bi-weekly issue of The Banner, DAPS contributed one feature "article", as well as "Celebrity Sightings" a satirical look at the concept of celebrity, "Ask the CSI Hot Dog Guy" (Contributed by writer Mike Bongiorno), and a series of images in the style of the popular lolcats images, as well as contributions from current member Damian Thomas.[3] In December of 2007, Montagnino and Olivieri began working with Andrew Sotiriou in transitioning from a print version of DOG AND PONY SHOW to an online version.
From February 2008 until May 2008, blogger "The Mighty" Vin Forte and writer William Kline took over duties as DAPS editors for the college publication.
