Dorokha is a gewog, (district) in the southwest of Bhutan. It is located in Samtse District.

The people here speak Nepali and are predominantly Hindus. It is not connected by road to any part of the country. The nearest town, and district head-quarter, is Samtse, about 12 hours walk away. Residents carry their supplies either on their own back or on horse-back.

There is a road under construction. It is scheduled to be completed by 2011-12. [1]

Dorokha gewog is being connected with road now and people feel much more comfortable to travel although the condiction of the road yet needs to be improved.

The road has not only reached to the Gewog but it too has reached to remote village, Sengten. A very wide and comfortable farm road leads to Sengten Primary School. This road has finally connected the Doya and Rai communities to the outside world which remained isolated for so long.
