Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), formerly Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute, is an institute for law in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one of the National Law Schools . Dr. RMLNLU has been providing undergraduate and graduate legal education in India since 2005. The University is fully funded by the state government.
The university was established by Act No.28 of the government of Uttar Pradesh in 2005 and officially opened on 4 January 2005. The institution was initially called Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute, but the name was changed following an amendment in the act in November 2006. The university has been declared "fit to receive grants" by the UGC under Section 12 (b) of the UGC Act, in December 2011.
Admission to the university is through the Common Law Admission Test. An annual test meant for admissions to the 14 top National Law Universities. On the current pattern, CLAT 2015 will be conducted by the institute. Nearly 30000 candidate take exam every year in may.The CLAT exam consist of questions from 5 sections.
