Dr. K. Murugesan is an Indian Medical Doctor and owner of a maternity hospital in the city of Manaparai, Tamil Nadu.
In 2007, Dr. K. Murugesan was investigated for unethical medical practice for training his 15 year old son, Dhileepan Raj, to perform surgical operated on his behalf on maternity patents.
In June, 2007, Dr. Murugesan and his wife Dr. Gandhimathi video taped an entire Caesarean section birth operation performed by their 15 year old son using a scalpel to cut the womb of an expectant mother; and they presented the video as proof so that their son could gain a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest surgeon.
Dr. Murugesan is now facing criminal charges and disbarment by the Indian Medical Association.
