Monika Kapil Mohta (Hindi: मोनिका कपिल मोहता, born 19th January, 1962) is a 1985 batch Indian Foreign Service officer and is presently the Ambassador of India to Republic of Poland and concurrently to Republic of Lithuania. Prior to her posting to Poland, she had served as the Director of The Nehru Centre, High Commission of India, London as well as in various prominent positions in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Missions abroad.

Early life and education Mrs. Mohta was born in New Delhi to Jai Singh Kapil and Vedna Kapil. After completing her schooling from The Air Force School, she graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, and thereafter, obtained her Master's degree from the same university. In 1985, she topped the Indian Foreign Service entrance examination. She married Dr. Madhup Mohta, also a career diplomat. They have a son and a daughter.
