"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is episode 9 of season 1 of the television show Veronica Mars. The historic and cultural significance of drinking the Kool-Aid is derived from the mass suicide of Jim Jones' followers by their drinking Flavor Aid mixed with cyanide.

Veronica simultaneously investigates Clarence Wiedman, the head of Kane Security, who took pictures of her and sent them to her mother and the Moon Calf Collective, a peace loving cult which '09er Casey joined.

- Clarence Wiedman, head of Kane Security, is revealed to be the one who took the pictures of Veronica as a human target.
- Veronica does a DNA test to find if Keith is actually her biological father, but she shreds the results without looking at them.
