Dubotanets

Dubotanets (Ukrainian: Дyбoтанець) is a popular folk dance from western Ukraine. It is performed by amateurs, professional Ukrainian dance ensembles as well as other performers of folk dances. The costuming is Transcarpathian-based and features a large amount of red and white fabric and stitching. The Dubotanets can be performed either by an all girls or a mixed group. It is a very lively dance and is usually choreographed to traditional Dubotanets music.
