The Eelam People's Democratic Party is a political party and a Paramilitary organization in Sri Lanka. It is led by its founder Douglas Devananda.

The Eelam People's Democratic Party is a member of the present UPFA government. It won 1 out of 225 seats (0.3 % of the popular vote) in the parliamentary elections held on 2 April 2004. The Tamil National Alliance campaigned against the EPDP.

The EPDP also has a Paramilitary[1][2][3] wing. The paramilitary wing has been accused to have helped the Sri Lankan Navy commit massacre in places like Allaipiddy [4] [5]
