Eggert Neumann (30 December 1912 — 25 May 1970) was a Obersturmbannführer (Lieutenant Colonel) in the Waffen SS during World War I. He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Obersturmbannführer Eggert Neumann was awarded the Knight's Cross on the 3 November 1944, while in command of the 7th SS Gebirgs Reconnaissance Battalion, 7th SS Gebirgs Division Prinz Eugen.[1]
