EinsExtra is a digital television channel from the German broadcaster ARD, available as part of the ARD digital package of channels. It launched on 30 August 1997.
EinsExtra is ARD's news channel and competes with N24 and n-tv. Besides news, EinsExtra also broadcasts culture, sports and science programmes.
EinsExtra is mananged by ARD regional broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), based in Hamburg.
