"Election Day Part I" is episode 148 of The West Wing. It is set during the 2006 presidential election.
[edit] Plot
The episode opens with the Santos campaign staff enjoying drinking in a hotel bar and revealing the various "intimate relationships" between the staffers as they all head off to bed. Josh and Donna's relationship progresses to the bedroom.
On Election day Josh is at a loose end; but there are some unexpected exit polls that keep both campaigns on their toes.
Will and Kate talk about their future and Will finds out that Kate voted for Vinick. Charlie delivers piles of job offers to C.J. who needs to consider her future after she leaves the White House and he asks C.J. to continue working with him when she leaves.
Annabeth finds Leo collapsed in his room at the end of the episode with the Secret Service rushing to his aid.

Despite major surgery stemming from his shooting in the season 1 finale, What Kind of Day Has It Been, Josh is shown with a unmarred chest.
