[edit] History
The street was paved in the early to mid-20th century, along with construction of neo-classical buildings. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, paving was completed in the 1960s and several buildings were rebuilt. Until the 1970s, it marked the urban line of Patras; more houses built to the south in the 1970s and the 1980s. It still for up to 200 m borders a stretch of unused farmland.
The street formerly began at a residential street about 100 m north of Chalkidiki Street until autumn and winter 1995, when the street was expanded to two lanes and the grassy central island became concrete with lampposts in order to increase traffic flow. Railway crossing barriers were improved and a new traffic light added at Akti Dymaion. Also in 1995, an Alfa-Vita Vassileiopoulou was added to the north side. Another traffic light was installed at Korinthou Street.
