On leaving Emmanuel, pupils transfer in almost equal numbers to Ferndown Upper School and Queen Elizabeth's School, Wimborne Minster.

[edit] History

Emmanuel Middle School, which opened in 1988, has Church of England Voluntary Aided School status, with both St Michael and All Angels Church, Verwood and the Diocese of Salisbury contributing to the cost of the building. Due to the rapid expansion of Verwood, the school was extended in 1993, and again in 2005 and 2008, to give a maximum capacity of some 600 pupils. The current headteacher is Mrs Jill Watson.

Emmanuel Middle School is one of the less than 400 remaining middle schools in England.
