Endotec, Inc. is a medical device company that specializes in the manufacture and distribution of biocompatible orthopaedic implant products. The company's products include hip replacement and knee replacement, as well as the shoulder and ankle extremities.

Company history[edit]

The company was founded in 1988, but the origins date back to 1974 when Dr. Frederick Buechel, an orthopaedic surgeon, and Dr. Michael Pappas, a mechanical engineer, first collaborated on joint replacement systems. The doctors are best known in the industry for the design of the low contact stress (LCS) mobile bearing knee replacement system.
