Enigma is the fourth studio album by the metal band Ill Niño, released in the United States on March 11, 2008 through Cement Shoes Records. The album's first single "The Alibi of Tyrants" was released to radio on April 22, 2007. The band has stated they would film three music videos from the album, including, "The Alibi of Tyrants", "Me Gusta La Soledad" and "Pieces of the Sun". The album was originally set for a July 17, 2007 release, but was delayed on several occasions. The album is unavailable on most digital distribution platforms, including iTunes.

  • In March 2008, Cement Shoes Records released 'Enigma' without paying the Engineers and Editors of the album for their work. Subsequently, 'Enigma' was permanently pulled from the iTunes music store and other digital music outlets. Most of the engineers and editors that worked on the album have still not been paid and have taken legal action against Ill Niño and Cement Shoes Records.[citation needed]

The album debuted and peaked on the Billboard charts at No. 145, with first weeks sales of 5,000 copies, a significant decrease when compared to their previous albums. [1] So far, the album has sold 80,000 copies worldwide. [2] The album features many elements and influences of progressive metal.
