Enterprise content integration (ECI) is a middleware software technology that connects together all computer systems that manage documents and digital content (Enterprise content management, Document management, Groupware, Records management…)

Enterprise content integration answers a number of needs in today's organizations:

  1. Migrating content (documents and images) from one system to another
  2. Synchronizing part or all the content between two or more content repositories
  3. Searching for documents across all content repositories
  4. Offering a single point of access to all documents and content of the organization
  5. Publishing or pushing this content to other systems (enterprise portals, web sites)
