[edit] Early work

He performed on 1995's Dandy's Rule OK?, 1996's The Black Album, and 1997's …The Dandy Warhols Come Down. Under the moniker "Aquaman", Hedford is credited for "additional production" on Everyday Should Be a Holiday. Also as Aquaman, Hedford did several remixes of the song Not if You Were the Last Junkie on Earth, which were only available on a promotional 12 inch record. He was replaced in 1998 by Brent De Boer, as Hedford departed the Dandy Warhols after a dispute with Courtney Taylor-Taylor regarding royalties. According to Taylor-Taylor (on the documentary DiG!), Hedford wanted a greater percentage of the royalties. These claims were disputed in the movie's DVD extras.

[edit] Magic Fingers

After leaving The Dandy Warhols, Hedford drummed for the power pop group Magic Fingers, which also featured Matt Hollywood (Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Out Crowd) on guitar and lead vocals, Carl Radavich (Television Eye) on bass and Michael "Spike" Keating (Swoon 23, touring member of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) on guitar. Hedford also performed briefly with Rick Bain and the Genius Position.

[edit] We Are Telephone

He now fronts the band We Are Telephone (formerly known as just "Telephone") which plays power pop/new wave/psychedelic music. Hedford performs lead vocals and plays keyboards. The band has self-released a self titled EP and is currently mixing a full length album with Tony Lash.

[edit] DJ performance

A veteran NW DJ.

Hedford performs regularly at The Goodfoot in Portland, Oregon as DJ Aquaman.

Made his start as a late 80's/ early 90's club DJ until helping launch the Northwest rave scene, being an early champion of house and techno music. After leaving The Dandy Warhols (see the documentary DIG!) he got into soul and funk music, starting his SOUL STEW night at The Goodfoot Lounge in 2001. SOUL STEW is Portland, Oregon's longest running dance night.

[edit] Flooded Music

Eric Hedford formed Flooded Music Composition and Design with Scott Fox (also of We Are Telephone and of Satan's Pilgrim's). From FMCD's website: "Flooded Music Composition and Design, doing original music and audio scoring for advertising, broadcast media, commercials, film, multi-media and web based productions. Formed in Portland, Oregon by Scott Fox and Eric Hedford."

[edit] Joint venture

Eric currently makes music as half of Hedford Vachal, with musical partner Brad Vachal. The duo released a single in July 2008 on London based Tirk Recordings. The single featured two original tracks and a remix from Padded Cell's Richard Sen.
