This name uses Spanish naming customs: the first or paternal family name is Lazo and the second or maternal family name is Hernández.

Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández (born February 26, 1944 in Jovellanos) is the President of the Cuban Parliament, former vice-president of the Cuban Council of State, and a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.[1]

On February 25, 2013, Lazo was named as the President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Cuba's parliament.[2]
