Ethan Dettenmaier is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. After starting out in the mail room at Warner Bros., he landed a position with Bel-Air Productions and Producer Steven Reuther (Face Off, Pretty Woman) He went on to become a script doctor for Idiom Films and has since scripted work for Steven Seagal, Dark Horse Comics, producer Paul DeSouza and Jon Divins, co-producer of The Blade franchise on what was rumored to be a project for Jamie Foxx. Dettenmaier made his filmmaking debut with the horror film Sin-Jin Smyth, which began filming in 2006 and had guitarist Billy Duffy (The Cult) set to do some guitar work. His production company, Snap Kick Productions, also had a TV pilot titled Minxx in negotiations with Intuition Entertainment and was set to serve as producer on the films Job, "Little Iron Men", "Knight Fever" and the new Vietnam film "Tet" In terms of writing, Dettenmaier is currently developing a novel under the title "Soldiers Of Destruction".

Though often entrenched in charity work, he has been criticized as a hypocrite for balancing his charity work with his enthusiasm for climbing into a Mixed Martial Arts Cage (He trained in Hayastan Jiu-Jitsu/Judo/Sambo with legendary fight instructor Gokor Chivichyan, is a member of the Aikido Daiwa school under Shihan Jack Arnold, and schooled in kung fu with Sifu Todd Tai, who was once Jackie Chan's bodyguard.) In 2008, along with some professional fighters in the UFC, Ethan created a combat apparel line called Combat-In-Effect that sponsors professional fighters, fight schools and players in the NFL. The company also makes an effort to help military veterans and has since expanded into Soccer, Surf and Rugby.

In 2008/2009 with a former executive from The Weinsten Company, a partner from Interscope and producer Lota Hadley, he re-formed his production company into Arsenal Productions And Management first to move production forward and assist with the business and production affairs of some of his friends such as Sonny Landham (Predator, 48 Hours), Ultimate Fighter Keith Jardine, Kevin Gage (Heat, G.I. Jane) Dennis Storhoi (The 13th Warrior) Jouko Ahola (Invincible, Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven), Ricco Ross (Aliens), David Anthony Marshall (Another 48 Hours, Lock Up), Jacqueline Moore (WWE, TNA Wrestling), Jamie Dukes of the NFL Network and several others. The company also built a strong music division that financed several recording projects and began to collaborate and work with different artists such as Mick MacNeil (Simple Minds, The Pretenders), James Stevenson (The Alarm, The Cult, Gene Loves Jezebel) Martha Davis (The Motels), Cy Curnin of The Fixx, Tasmin Archer, Ian Donaldson, Marty Wilson-Piper of The Church, Dave Wakeling and Jay Aston (Gene Loves Jezebel).

He is currently the voice of Combat Radio which can be heard through the LA Talk Radio Network.
