[edit] Personality

Mr. Krabs is a wealthy, salty, red crab, but is an extreme tightwad (he still keeps the first dollar he ever earned)[2] and very greedy.[1] In fact, he considers money to be living beings, and in more recent episodes, he berates other persons when they lose money and whenever he thinks he has a chance to get rich, parts of his body (and sometimes even his entire body) turn into the shape of dollar signs, gold, or silver bars. The lengths Mr. Krabs will go to obtain and hold onto his money are often ridiculous and insane. Mr. Krabs has sold his soul multiple times, once to SpongeBob, and once lost his mind in pursuit of a single dollar (his one millionth). His vocal qualities are seemingly based on an Irish accent.

[edit] Lifestyle

Mr. Krabs lives in a rusty anchor with his adopted 16-year old daughter Pearl.

Pearl is constantly embarrassed by her dad and his cheap antics, leading them to show some distance with each other.

He is also revealed to have been in the Navy as he mentions his service multiple times throughout the series.

He has been said to have fought in a war, as revealed in the "Krusty Krab Training Video"

In the episode "Grandpappy the Pirate", he reveals to his grandfather Redbeard that he is not a pirate and believes he had caused his grandfather great disappointment, but Redbeard is actually very proud his grandson's cheap prices for the food in the Krusty Krab (in the same episode, it's revealed that Mr. Krabs was once a pirate too, but felt that it was not profitable enough, and so quit to go into the restaurant business).

Mr. Krabs has also been seen with a pet worm named Mr. Doodles, who has been seen in only a few episodes, but is usually seen walking with Mr. Krabs.

Born November 11, 1942 according to Sleepy Time.

[edit] Role in SpongeBob SquarePants

Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and Squidward Tentacles are the tritagonists of SpongeBob SquarePants. Mr. Krabs is the owner and founder of the Krusty Krab restaurant. His rival (and former best friend) Sheldon Plankton has a struggling restaurant called the Chum Bucket located across the street from the Krusty Krab. Sheldon Plankton is always trying to steal Mr. Krabs secret recipe.
