European Parliament election, 2014 (Netherlands)

The 2014 European Parliament election in the Netherlands for the election of the delegation from the Netherlands to the European Parliament was held on 22 May 2014. The number of seats allocated to the Netherlands increased from 25 to 26 as a result of the 2011 apportionment of seats in the European Parliament.

The CDA have their ‘extra’ MEP because of their link with the orthodox religious parties and 50Plus. That means any excess CU, SGP and 50PLus votes are transferred to the CDA.
