"Everything's Gone Green" is the second single released by British band New Order, in 1981.
It is supposedly the first song by the group to contain computer-generated sounds.

[edit] 7" version
"Everything's Gone Green" was first released on 7" in September 1981, backed with "Procession".
The sleeve, which differs from the 12", came in nine differently coloured versions: black, blue, aqua, yellow, red, brown, orange, green and purple.
The 7" version of the song was released on CD for the first time in 2005, on the Singles compilation. The full 12" version is used on all other compilations and releases.
[edit] "Procession"
In some territories, the single was reversed, with "Procession" serving as the A-side single. There is no difference in the sleeve art or catalogue number (FAC53).
[edit] 12" version
The song was later released in an extended form on 12", in December 1981, available exclusively in the Benelux. It bears the Factory Benelux catalogue number FBN 8.
Two more original songs, "Cries and Whispers" and "Mesh" are included as B-sides. The track names of the B-sides are correctly identified on the label, but are in the wrong order on the sleeve. This led to their being misidentified on subsequent releases; for example, the track identified as "Mesh" on the CD version of the Substance compilation is actually "Cries and Whispers".
All four tracks were released on the tape version of Substance and eventually as bonus tracks on the 2008 remastered Collector's Edition of Movement, New Order's first studio album that was released alongside the single.
