Futebol Clube do Porto Fidelidade, or F.C. Porto Fidelidade (sponsored by insurance company Fidelidade), is a Portuguese roller hockey team based in Porto, which plays in the Campeonato Nacional da 1ª Divisão. It is the senior representative of the roller hockey section of F.C. Porto, a sports club best known for its football team. They play their home matches at the Dragão Caixa arena.

History[edit]

It is one of the most prestigious sports practiced by the athletes of F.C. Porto. The current president of Futebol Clube do Porto, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa was one of the most important directors of this section and others like João Baldaia and Ilídio Pinto also stood out. This practice was initiated in 1924, corresponding to the will of many people, directors and fans of the club, that were seduced by the excellent performances of the Portuguese national roller hockey team. Between the numerous athletes that played for Porto, the ones that stand out are Vítor Hugo, Cristiano Pereira, Vítor Bruno, Pedro Alves, Franklim Pais, Filipe Santos, Tó Neves, Realista, Reinaldo Ventura, Diego Allende and Edo Bosch. Managers like Vladimiro Brandão, Cristiano Pereira, José Fernandes, Franklim Pais and António Livramento guided the club to many domestic and international accomplishments.
