FGC line S1

— S1 is a FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) suburban line, part of Metro del Vallès. The S stands for suburbà. It links Barcelona with Terrassa and its termini are known as Barcelona - Pl. Catalunya and Terrassa - Rambla. It extends from Barcelona metropolitan area fare zone 1, where it runs underground, to zone 3. It's part of the fare-integrated Autoritat del Transport Metropolità network centered around Barcelona, and of the complete commuter train network of Rodalies Barcelona.

There are currently plans to extend S1 in Terrassa in which is due to become Terrassa Metro.
