[edit] History

Immediately after the end of World War I in Čačak began to play football. According to some sources the first football game took place in 1920. FK Borac Čačak was founded six years later. The group of union workers was organized before May 1, 1926 founded the club that had the first red and later a red-and-white uniform. The first president of the club was a carpenter worker Jovan Jolović. Before World War II biggest club success was winning 1st place in the West Morava parish in 1934.

The next big success was winning the Serbia Cup in 1958 and four years later made promotion in the Second Federal League. The first play-off match against OFK Titograd FK Borac lost 1:3. In the home game at the Stadium near the Morava on July 15, 1962 with six goals in the second half, FK Borac secured a promotion to the Second Federal League.

For many years FK Borac played in the Second Federal League but the dream of the promotion to the Yugoslav First League came through in 1994 when FK Borac was promoted for the first time.
