FM 1758 begins at an intersection with SH 59 between Bowie and Montague. It travels in a southwesterly direction for 7.600 miles (12.231 km) before state maintenance ends near Salona in unincorporated Montague County.[1][2]

FM 1758 was designated in 1951, connecting SH 59 to the community of Salona. It was extended to its current length in 1970.[1]
