A referendum on adopting a constitution that was drawn up after the 2008 elections was to be held in the Faroe Islands in 2010, as agreed upon in the coalition agreement between Republic, the Social Democratic Party and the Centre Party.[1] However, the coalition has since ruptured and the coalition in office before the 2008 election governs again, so the referendum was cancelled.
