Fauxstar is the recording name of Ryan Briggs (born 16 July 1986 in Sheffield, England), a British Electronic Music Producer. He currently lives in Rotherham, England.

Fauxstar's first official release, "Julie Dennis - Cut to the Chase (Fauxstar Remix)" was released on 14 April 2008 by the label Petulant Records.[1] Cut to the Chase was remixed by Fauxstar in the Summer of 2007 for a competition in which he finished 2nd place earning him a release.[2]
His next release "Made of Steel", was Fauxstar's first Original Track to be released. It came out on 2 June 2008 on Stockholm Beats, a Swedish Record Label based in Stockholm. The release featured a remix by DJ Tomas Blomme and Kenneth Albinsson.[1]
On 30 January 2009, Stockholm Beats released the second release "Star" which is a collaboration between Fauxstar, DJ Tomas Blomme and Kenneth Albinsson. The release features a Radio Edit, Original Mix and Vocal Mix.[3]
