Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) is a United States Federal Bureau of Prisons facility located on U.S. Route 15 in Gregg Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.[1][2] The prison, at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, is on U.S. Route 15, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Allenwood, 11 miles (18 km) south of Williamsport, and 197 miles (317 km) north of Washington, DC.[3] It is near White Deer.[4]
It consists of three facilities, all for male inmates:
- FCI Allenwood Low - A low security Federal Correctional Institution
- FCI Allenwood Medium - A medium security Federal Correctional Institution
- USP Allenwood - High security United States Penitentiary

- Aldrich Ames: former CIA agent and convicted Soviet/Russian spy is serving a life sentence.
- Gerald Bull: head of Space Research Corporation, for illegally exporting howitzer shells to the then-embargoed South African government.
- Louis Daidone: former New York City mobster and Lucchese family boss, serving a life sentence for racketeering.
- Larry Levenson: First owner of Plato's Retreat which was a swingers' club in New York City, convicted of tax evasion.
- Gerald McCann: former mayor of Jersey City convicted of fraud in a savings and loan scam.
- John Stanfa: convicted Philadelphia mobster serving five life sentences.
- James Traficant: former U.S. Representative from Ohio convicted of bribery, racketeering, and tax evasion.
- Thomas Pitera: mafia capo for the Bonnano crime family, serving a life sentence.
- Clifford Irving: author. Convicted of forging the autobiography of Howard Hughes.
- David Paul Hammer: killed his cellmate within USP Allenwood[5]
- Henry Hill: associate for the Lucchese crime family served six years to a ten-year sentence for extortion in 1972 and was released in 1978.
- Raymond F. Lederer, a Pennsylvania Congressman, convicted in ABSCAM in 1981.
- Jeb Stuart Magruder, for involvement in the Watergate scandal
