Ferndale Baptist Church is a Baptist Union affiliated church in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

The church's pastor is Stephen Dray, who edits the Christian Journal 'Evangel', and who is a regular contributor to Evangelicals Now.

In 2006, the church was involved in ensuring the continuing survival of a community hall on the nearby St Luke's estate.[1]

Ferndale Baptist Church conducts a morning service each Sunday at 10:30am. An evening service takes place at 6.30 pm. There is also regular Tuesday evening Bible Study and Prayer meetings on a Tuesday evening.[2]

[edit] FutureFaith

The church holds annual 'FutureFaith' conferences, where well known evangelical Christians give lectures on their perception of the future of Christianity. Previous speakers have included theologians J.I. Packer, I. Howard Marshall, Daniel Strange of Oak Hill Theological College and John Wilks of the London School of Theology.
