Summary

Description
English: Image depicts William O'Brien MP of the All-for-Ireland League attempting to address a Convention in Dublin Ireland of the Irish Parliamentary Party. Behind him John Dillon MP (seated) with John Redmond MP and Joseph Devlin MP (standing) looking on indifferently.
The caption under the image reads: "NOT TO BE HOWLED DOWN" 'An organised attempt was made by a band of rowdies and Ribbonmen, imported from Belfast and armed with bludgeons, to prevent Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Thomas O'Donnell and Father Clancy from being heard at the Convention on Tuesday'.
The Convention became subsequently known as the Baton Convention
