Description

Cherry, AZ cemetery. There are some pretty recent burials there, I think the latest one I found was 2002!

There was also a plot with names on it - yet to be filled.

The oldest I found was a burial date of 1886, which I believe is when that cemetery was founded. There were a couple of blank headstones there, the names and dates on them eroded by time. There were also some headstones that simply said 'baby' on them.

Also, there were quite a few headstones that look like they were written on with a marker - often the born date or the burial date were marked with a question mark. Theres a picture of one here: www.flickr.com/photos/three_sixteen/2430546742/in/photost...

Pretty interesting stuff. I tried to snap a picture of one of the older headstones, that had an engraving of some kind on it. I was hoping that I might be able to figure out what it said, but I think it's too eroded.
