Description
English: The east end of Chester General Station on a Summer Saturday.
View eastward, towards Crewe etc., also (branching to the left, just out of sight), Manchester via Warrington; ex-London & North Western major centre shared with the ex-Great Western Birmingham - Shrewsbury - Chester - Birkenhead route (which entered and left from the western end of the station). In the foreground is BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76089 on the 12.30 Abergele - Manchester (Victoria); in the centre left is a Diesel multiple-unit and beyond a Stanier 5MT 4-6-0, both on Up services from North Wales. Ahead is Chester No. 2 Box.
