Français : Fonctionnement d'un sautereau de clavecin. Légende : A) le sautereau est au repos, l'étouffoir repose sur la corde et l'empêche de vibrer. B) soulevé par la touche, le sautereau s'élève : le bec vient contre la corde qu'il soulève tout en se courbant. C) le bec, trop courbé, vient lacher la corde qui se met à vibrer (émission du son), le sautereau vient buter contre le chapiteau. D) la touche est relachée, le sautereau redescend par son poids.
