Description
English: Six people pose by a Curtiss Oriole at an aviation meet in Houston, Texas (USA), in 1919. The Curtiss JN in the background is painted with the name "S.E.J. Cox". The first commercial airline to enter Houston, started by S.E.J. Cox in 1919. His Southern Aircraft company flew a Curtiss Jenny and two Curtiss Orioles.
The following information was provided by a family member. The three people (on the right) by the wing are (right to left) Seymour Ernest J. Cox, Sr., his wife, Edith Nell Mc Donald Cox and their son, Seymour Ernest J. Cox, Jr.
