Deutsch: „In Rot ein weißer (silberner) Schräglinksbalken, belegt mit drei roten Rosen mit gelben (goldenen) Butzen und grünen Kelchblättern.“ Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten Münster vom 25. Januar 1980 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. Das Wappen stellt eine Kombination aus dem Wappen der Herren von Osterwick (Schrägbalken) und redenden Symbolen (Rosen) dar, die auf den Namen der Gemeinde Bezug nehmen. Nach den geschichtlichen Aufzeichnungen waren die Herren von Osterwick Angehörige des niederen Adels, die im Mittelalter den zur Dorfbauerschaft Osterwick gehörigen Haupthof (Haus Osterwick) bewohnten. Mit den im Schrägbalken abgebildeten drei Rosen soll nicht nur der Zusammenschluss der ehemals drei selbständigen Gemeinden Darfeld, Holtwick und Osterwick, sondern ebenso die heimische Verbundenheit symbolisch dargestellt werden.
English: „Gules a bend sinister argent with three roses gules, sepals vert and blebs Or.“ The arms were granted on January 25, 1980. The arms are a combination of three canting roses and the arms of the Lords of Osterwick. The latter owned in medieval times the Estate of Osterwick in the municipality, and thus played a major role in the local history. The three roses symbolise the three former municipalities.
