Object history
English: Sonsbeck received city rights in 1320 from Count Dietrich of Kleve. All seals of the city showed a canting image, a sun over a wavy bar. The former city character is shown by the addition of a small wall in the sun. The seals often showed a castle of city wall with a seal with sun and stream in front.
