"Vorstenhuizen, keizerrijk Duitsland. Keizer Wilhelm II in ballingschap wandelt in de tuin van Kasteel Amerongen. Deze opname is vanuit een hooiwagen met verborgen camera over de muur van het kasteel gefotografeerd in 1919 door Leven-fotograaf Ruben Velleman. Dit is een in 1922 in Het Leven gepubliceerde uitvergroting van de oorspronkelijke opname uit 1919 die niet bewaard is. De retouche-verf is destijds aangebracht om de figuur van de ex-keizer beter te laten uitkomen." (Nationaal Archief)
