English: Visiting public enjoying access to the Gay Head Lighthouse and its surrounding grounds in circa 1906. Crosby L. Crocker, who was the Principal Lighthouse Keeper from 1892 to 1920, followed the tradition of all Gay Head Lighthouse keepers by entertaining visitors and always allowing public access. Note: The date of this photo was determined by the discovery of a c1906 post card depicting this exact same photograph. |
