English: LOVE PROJECT by ESTUDIO GUTO REQUENA in collaboration with D3
The second experiment was realized within the official release of the Love Project, during the 2014 São Paulo Design Weekend on August at the Baró Gallery, and curated by Taissa Buescu with the support of Casa Vogue magazine, Galeria Coletivo Amor de Madre and 3D AKAD printing company.
This experiment aims to insert users into the process, introducing how the sensors, the computer interface, and the 3D printing technology actually work. With this approach, we approximate the people to the process that solidify their immaterial memories.
During the two-day event, a performance was mounted by Estudio Guto Requena and D3. The public was invited to, equipped with the appropriate sensors, use the computer interface while narrating their own love stories. Furthermore, these stories were printed during the performance by 3D printers, resulting in unique mandalas that were taken home by the visitors. In this way, the ones who visited the exhibition could visualize the whole process.
Throughout the exhibition, the first 3D printed objects were created from the biggest love stories from the visitors, resulting in 53 different mandalas (53 Love Stories collected), each one embedding in its shape the uniqueness of every narrated love story individually.
