The caption reads:

"The Great Masonic Union Celebration of the Brethren hitherto under the Jurisdiction of St. John's Grand Lodge with the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the M. A. & hon. Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York, At Tripler Hall, City of New-York Friday December 27th A. D. 1850_A. L. 5850."

The credits read:

"Drawn on Stone by C. G. Grehen. Print by Nagel & Weingärtner."

"Daguerreotyped and Published by J. M. & F. J. CLARK, 551 Broadway New-York."

Also marked:

"Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1851 by J. M. & F. J. Clark in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the Southern District of New-York."

Handwritten in lower left:

"379 Deposited in the Clerk's Office Southern District of New York July 30, 1851."
