Summary

Description
English: Nesting is the process of trying to squeeze as many cut shapes onto a sheet or roll of material as possible using mathematical algorithms. The image demonstrates composite 'plies' placed onto a roll of material. Plies are bonded together to make a finished part. Composite materials are used to create lightweight and strong parts in aerospace and automotive using pre-preg or dry-weave types of materials.
