English: Old locomotive depot, Machynlleth. This is the old steam locomotive depot at Machynlleth. More recently, and since having been re-roofed, it has been used to service diesel multiple units - a use for which it was totally unsuitable as the units are longer than the shed and protruded from one end or the other. The maintenance is now carried out in a new purpose built facility - see 594322.
Thankfully for industrial archaeologists, the old shed has been retained and is to be used for unit underframe cleaning and maintenance.
