[edit] Summary
| Description |
Pictured above is an illustration of one of the five light patterns that Michael Larson exploited in his record $110,237 conquest of Press Your Luck. In this particular light pattern, as revealed during Game Show Network's documentary on the Larson episodes, when the light hit 2, it would go down to 12, up to 1, across to 9, and Larson would stop at 4, or, the "Big Bucks" space, which always contained $3000, $4000, or $5000 and a spin. In green are the two spaces that Larson keyed in upon during his game: space 4 (the "Big Bucks" space), and space 8, which always contained $500, $750, or $1000 and a spin. With these two spaces always containing money and a spin, all Larson had to do was stop at one of these two spaces to continue his conquest without running out of spins. |
