In der eigentlichen elektrochemischen Zelle werden gelöste Stoffe reduziert bzw. oxidiert; die chemische Umwandlung in der Zelle ist durch den Farbverlauf angedeutet. Die Lösungen werden in Tanks gespeichert, die deutlich größer sein können als die elektrochemischen Zelle. English: Schematic diagram of a redox flow cell of a flow battery and the corresponding tanks which store the solutions. In the electrochemical cells, chemical conversions take place by oxidation or reduction. This is indicated by the change of the colour. |
