DescriptionRomford railway station geograph-2223947.jpg
English: Romford Station: the Upminster platform, with branch train.
View westward, towards London. This platform was at an ex-Midland (London, Tilbury & Southend) station separate until 1934 from the ex-Great Eastern station on the main line from Liverpool Street. The branch to Upminster and on to Grays was single-line and in 1950 - long before its electrification in May 1986, it was being worked by a steam push-and-pull set, here with Johnson/Deeley 0-4-4T No. 58089.
