English: View of the monument to John Scrivener at St Peter's Church. Sibton, Suffolk, England. The Scrivener family has resided at Sibton Abbey nearby since the early 17th century. Memorial to John Scrivener, St. Peter's Church, Sibton, Suffolk, England. He had as father Radulph Scrivener "de Gippovico" (Latin: Gippovicus=Ipswich), Gent. He married one of the daughters and co-heiresses of Guilford Walsingham of Scadbury in Kent. Arms: Ermine, on a chief azure three leopard's faces or (Scrivener) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.908 "Scrivenor of Sibton, Suffolk"), quartering: Argent, a fess azure between two lions passant sable (unknown family; Smith of Essex?) (Metcalfe, Walter C., ed. (1882). The Visitations of Suffolk made by Hervey, Clarenceux, 1561, Cooke, Clarenceux, 1577, and Raven, Richmond Herald, 1612, with notes and an appendix of additional Suffolk Pedigrees. Exeter: W. Pollard, p.163, with "lions rampant" [1]. Shield at left, Walsingham of Scadbury of 11 quarters:
