The English edition: Barth, Henry (1857-1858), Travels and Discoveries in North and Central Africa: being a Journal of an Expedition undertaken under the Auspices of H.B.M.’s Government, in the Years 1849–1855 Volume 4, London: Longman, Brown, Green, Longmans and Roberts. The illustration is between pages 404 and 405. The pictures in the German and English editions are very similar but not identical.
