English: The Causeway Built in the 11th century to carry the east-west route over the marshy Arun estuary, it still carries the main A27 though the reversion to single lane between Crossbush and the west of the town means huge bottlenecks both at rush hour and during bank holidays. The bridge in the distance carries it over the railway line.
