Description

In this true-color image from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), Typhoon Rusa can be seen menacing first Japan and then Korea. The image was captured by the Aqua MODIS instrument on August 31, 2002 at 0505 UTC.
